Indiana Pacers DFS Notes
Doug McDermott poured in 21 points on 6-of-10 shooting (4-of-6 3PT), three rebounds, and two assists as the Pacers defeated the Hornets 144-117 on Tuesday. McDermott came out Tuesday night guns blazing, scoring 14 points in the first 5 minutes of the game and knocking down four triples. Even without Caris Levert, Indiana left no doubt on Tuesday as they knocked down 16 three-pointers on the evening, led by by the former Creighton star. Indiana will now play the loser of the Celtics-Wizards game for a chance at the eighth and final spot in the Eastern conference playoff bracket.
Washington Wizards DFS Notes
Russell Westbrook tallied 20 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, three steals, two blocks, and four turnovers in 37 minutes of action in Tuesday night’s loss to the Celtics. Westbrook’s 6-of-18 shooting was less than ideal of course, but he simply didn’t look like himself in Tuesday night’s loss. He even waked to the locker room with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, which raised questions as to his health. In the press conference following the loss, Westbrook said that he had some “bumps and bruises” but that he would “be alright.” The Wizards sure hope that he is correct because they will need a better performance on Thursday night when they face a Pacers team who looked the part in their 27-point win over Charlotte on Tuesday night.
