Pacers vs. Pelicans Monday Prediction
A pair of teams that have won four of their first six games to start the season will meet in New Orleans on Monday night when the Pelicans host the Pacers at 8:00 p.m. ET. The spread for this game opened as a pick’em but now the Pelicans are laying 1.5 points. Will they cover?

T.J. Warren will undergo surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. This is just awful luck for Warren after battling plantar fasciitis in his other foot prior to this. Woj is reporting that Warren is “out indefinitely” so his fantasy managers just need to stash him on I.R. and hope for a speedy recovery. Aaron Holiday got the start in Warren’s place on Thursday, scoring 12 points with two assists, one rebound, three triples and one steal in 22 minutes. Aaron is worth a look as a low-end pickup, and his brother Justin is as well — Justin is a sneaky source of points, triples, steals and rebounds and has a solid resume in recent years. Doug McDermott also has a chance to increase his appeal as a 3-point specialist in deeper formats.

Zion Williamson accounted for 21 points (7-of-12 FGs, 7-of-10 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in 33 minutes Saturday vs. Toronto. Williamson was relatively quiet offensively to start Saturday’s game, as Brandon Ingram and Eric Bledsoe did much of the heavy lifting in the first half. But he still managed to produce a solid stat line, shooting better than 50% from both the field and the foul line. Williamson hasn’t been as productive as expected thus far, as he ranks just outside of the top-200 in 9-cat formats through six games. But, given how difficult of a matchup that he can be Williamson won’t be ranked that low for long.
Pacers vs. Pelicans Betting Prediction
The Pacers are winless against the spread in their last four games in New Orleans and have failed to cover in eight of their last nine meetings with the Pelicans overall. They’re also just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games as an underdog, are 2-5 against the number in their last seven games as a road dog and are 2-6 at the betting window in their last eight games when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous contest. Granted, the Pelicans are just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games as a home favorite but with this being a short number, I like New Orleans to get it done at home tonight.
