Nikola Jokic’s 24 points weren’t enough in a 99-87 loss to Cleveland on Monday. Jokic finished 9-of-15 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line with 19 rebounds, three assists, three steals, one triple and six turnovers. He’s been taking on a much heavier scoring load so far this season, putting up 29.5 points in his previous two games. He’ll have a brutal matchup against Rudy Gobert to look forward to Tuesday night.
Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Donovan Mitchell scored 27 points on 9-of-25 shooting (6-of-14 3-pointers) with five rebounds, four assists, two steals and five turnovers as the Jazz beat the Kings 110-101 on Friday night. Mitchell’s final box will look fine, but truth be told, that was probably the hardest 27 that he has ever scored in his life. Davion Mitchell blanketed the elder Mitchell on Friday night forcing him into five turnovers and causing him to take a number of extremely tough shots throughout the night. What was even more impressive was that Davion only committed two fouls, and one of them was in garbage time when the Kings were fouling intentionally. Donovan will certainly be happy that he won’t have to see Davion when the Jazz hosts the Nuggets on Tuesday.
