The NBA ESPN double header on Wednesday will start in New York where the Knicks will host the Nets at 7:30 p.m. ET from Madison Square Garden. Given the Nets’ ATS struggles in previous meetings between these two teams, are the Knicks a sound play as a 4.5-point home favorite?

Ben Simmons said in his introductory press conference on Tuesday that he doesn’t have a date for his return, but he’s “starting to ramp it up.” Keep holding out hope! We likely won’t see Simmons before the All-Star Break, though that shouldn’t come as a surprise. This really doesn’t tell us much, but hopefully the Nets will want to give Simmons some floor time before Kevin Durant returns. He can still be an incredible fantasy asset to have stashed and could end up being a league-winner. Simmons also mentioned in his interview that the pace is going to be “unreal”, so be ready for some boosted fantasy stats for Nets players and their opponents. Brooklyn plays in Philadelphia on March 10th.
New York Knicks DFS Notes
Julius Randle went off for 30 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in Monday’s overtime loss to the Thunder. Continuing a recent trend, Randle posted another massive stat line and recorded his 13th career triple-double. He’s now double-doubled in four straight and six of his last seven. In six games prior, he averaged 27.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists. Randle becomes just the seventh player in Knicks franchise history to score at least 28 points in six straight games. His pedestrian stretch in January should be fading from fantasy managers’ memories thanks to the blistering heater he’s currently on.
Nets vs. Knicks NBA Betting Prediction
The Nets are just 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 games at Madison Square Garden and failed to cover in 19 of their last 26 games against the Knicks overall. The Nets are also just 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six road games, are 1-10 against the number in their last 11 games following a win of more than 10 points and are 1-3-1 at the betting window in their last five games as a road underdog. On the other side, the Knicks are a perfect 7-0 against the spread in their last seven games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous contest.
