Andre Drummond was disappointing in his return to action on Thursday, contributing just eight points, three rebounds, one assist and two turnovers over 20 minutes in a loss to the Heat.Drummond sat out the second leg of a back-to-back set on Tuesday due to some minor knee soreness, and while he was back in action tonight, he wasn’t very effective while he was out there. His plus/minus rating of minus-11 was the worst amongst Brooklyn’s starters, and he might see his minutes dip to the teens more regularly with Kevin Durant back in action. LaMarcus Aldridge wasn’t much better in his 24 minutes with the second unit, though, as he finished with just five points (1-of-4 FG, 3-of-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal in the six-point loss.
Boston Celtics DFS Notes
Jayson Tatum accounted for 37 points, six rebounds, five assists, two triples and a block in Thursday’s win over the Grizzlies. The superstar forward averaged 28.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.3 triples over his last four, and it looked like he was going to take a step back in this one in favor of a more balanced attack from Boston’s other starters and role players. He had just 16 points after three quarters but scored 21 in the fourth to close out a Grizzlies team that wouldn’t go away. Tatum’s 21 in the final frame is just one shy of his career-best in fourth-quarter points and marks the third 20-point fourth quarter of his career. He’s scored at least 35 points in 10 games this season and will be needed to carry an even heavier offensive load for as long as Jaylen Brown (ankle) is out.
