LINE MOVEMENT
Utah opened as 15-point home favorites to top Memphis but the number dropped to 14.5 at the majority of online sportsbooks. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 199.5 and that too has not budged off the original number.
PUBLIC BETTING
As of this writing, 63% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Jazz to cover the point spread tonight. Meanwhile, 64% of the betting tickets are on the under.
KEY INJURY TO WATCH
Mike Conley (heel) is out for the year in Memphis, which will also be without Andrew Harrison (wrist) and Tyreke Evans (personal) are out. Raul Neto, meanwhile, is out for the Jazz due to a wrist injury.
BETTING STRATEGY
The Grizzlies somehow caught the Blazers napping on Wednesday and pulled off a rare win but you haven’t made much money backing Memphis of late. It’s late in the season, they’ve had a horrible year, and are facing a Jazz team that has lost consecutive home games straight up as favorites of 14 and 10.5 points. It’s tempting to fade Utah and grab all of those points but this should be an utter blowout. I expect the Jazz to play stingy defense and eventually pull away in the second half.
OUR PREDICTION: UTAH JAZZ -14.5
