Heat dealing with Bosh out, face Hawks
The Miami Heat hope to rally without one of their stars when they return to action tonight, taking on the Atlanta Hawks at 8PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, the Hawks are favored at home in this game, as Atlanta is getting odds of -9 points against the Heat. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 197.5 points.
Atlanta (31-24) has been a strong team at home, going 17-9 straight up. They won four of their last six entering the All-Star Break, but suffered a pair of surprising losses to the Orlando Magic where they were favored in both. Miami (29-24) has lost its last two and is now focusing on life without Chris Bosh, who is out indefinitely while he deals with blood clots in his leg once again.
Combating with Atlanta hasn’t been easy for Miami, as the Heat are just 2-7-1 against the spread in the last 10 games of this series and just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 trips to Atlanta. The Heat are also just 6-9 against the spread as a road underdog this season and 2-3 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.
