According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Bucks are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Wizards. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 231 points. The public betting for this game currently has 65 percent going on the Bucks on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.
Bucks win at Houston
The Bucks are coming off a 116-109 win at Houston on Wednesday for their seventh win and cover in their last eight games. Milwaukee is now 29-11 on the season, 10-7 on the road, 23-15-2 against the spread and 21-19 with the over.
Milwaukee owns the league’s top offense, averaging 117.5 points per game while shooting 47.8 percent from the field. They also lead the league in rebounding (49.4 per game) and defensive FG percentage (43.1). The Bucks are giving up just 108 points per game this season. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a top MVP candidate right now, averaging 26.6 points, 12.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game. Khris Middleton is adding 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest.
Wizards pound the 76ers
Washington is coming off an impressive 123-106 win at home over Philadelphia on Wednesday night. The Wizards are 4-2 straight up and 5-1 against the spread in their last six games. Washington is now 17-25 on the season, 12-7 at home, 17-25 against the spread and 25-17 with the over.
The Wizards have a strong offense, but they really struggle on defense. While they put up 113 points per game this season, they are allowing 116.5 per game while opponents shoot 47.3 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from the arc. The Wizards have been beat up this year with Dwight Howard, Markieff Morris and John Wall all suffering long-term injuries. Bradley Beal has been leading the team with 24.2 points per game while Trevor Ariza is adding 13.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks have covered the spread in five straight against a losing team and in nine of their last 11 Friday games.
Washington
The Wizards are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 home games, but 0-5 ATS in their last five against Central Division opponents.
Prediction:
Washington has been hard to figure out. The Wizards seem to once again be surging with John Wall injured. They looked really good against Philadelphia the day after losing to them by double figures on the road. It seems on paper that they shouldn’t be able to compete with Milwaukee, yet I find myself hesitant. The Bucks are rolling, but after a big win in Houston, will Milwaukee be overlooking the Wizards tonight? I feel like the Bucks know they have a chance to really create some distance in the East right now, so I will take them to cover, but this spread should come right down to the final seconds.
NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -6.5
