Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Warriors are 14-point favorites to beat the Heat. The total, meanwhile, sits at 221.5 points and as of this writing, 71% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Warriors to cover the point spread.
Miami Heat Fantasy Spin
Dwyane Wade (head, back) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Warriors. Wade took a hard fall and hit his head on the court, but passed through the concussion protocol and returned to the game. He continues to play well despite his age and will likely want to play against the champs in their arena. If he can’t go, Rodney McGruder and Dion Waiters will both see more playing time.
Golden State Warriors Fantasy Spin
Stephen Curry made just 6-of-17 from the field for 20 points during a 117-107 win over the Suns on Friday, adding seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes. He went scoreless in the first quarter for just the third time this season, making just 2-of-12 from the field to start the first half. Curry hasn’t cleared the 20-point mark in any of his last three due to poor shooting in two and garbage time for the other. There’s obviously nothing to worry about here.
NBA Betting Trends
Miami
The Heat are 27-10-1 at the betting window in their last 38 road games when they face an opponent with a home winning percentage of greater than .600.
Golden State
The Warriors are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four games when facing an opponent with a losing record.
Prediction
There were a couple of big upsets in the NBA and while I don’t believe this will be an outright upset tonight, I do expect the Warriors to suffer a letdown. The underdog is 11-5-3 against the spread in their last 19 meetings between these two teams while the road squad is 17-6-4 against the number in the last 27 meetings. The Warriors have also struggled to cover at home, posting a 4-11-1 ATS record in their last 16 games at Oracle, while the heat are 13-6 at the betting window in their last 19 road games.
