Magic vs. Warriors Public Betting: Bettors Backing Golden State

Wagner goes of vs. Jazz

Franz Wagner had 37 points (8-of-21 FGs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers against the Jazz on Saturday. Wagner more than did his part in picking up the slack for a struggling Paolo Banchero Saturday, though it ultimately wasn’t enough as the Magic lost to the Jazz by 14. The 23-year-old small forward went off for 37 points, which included an incredible 18-of-20 performance from the free throw line. He’s now scored at least 20 points in all five games since returning from an oblique injury. Wagner doesn’t provide much in the other categories, but he can certainly score.

Curry once again has low-scoring night

Stephen Curry finished Friday’s loss to Phoenix with 14 points (5-of-14 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes. While Curry’s fantasy value remains high, Friday night was not good for the Warriors star. He’s scored less than 15 points in three of his last five outings, and Curry is averaging 18.1 points per game over the past two weeks. Shooting 39.5% from the field, he’s only been a top-75 player in 8-cat formats during this stretch. With the Warriors now 24-24 heading into Week 15, which begins with a home game against Orlando on Monday, it’s fair to question if the front office will look to shake things up around Curry ahead of the February 6 trade deadline.

Magic vs. Warriors NBA Prediction:

Take Golden State. The Warriors have won back-to-back games versus the Magic. They also covered in both of those games. The Warriors fell 130-105 to the Suns, but they’ve struggled all season with Phoenix. Golden State has won two out of its last three games overall. On the other side, the Magic have dropped eight out of their last 10 games straight up and against the spread. They haven’t won or covered in three straight games.

Magic vs. Warriors Betting Prediction: GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS -2.5
