Clippers roll past Kings
The Los Angeles Clippers secured a 133-121 victory Thursday night at Sacramento to improve to a Western Conference-best 15-6 on the season. After a poor second quarter, LA outscored the Kings 62-53 in the second half to put it away. Tobias Harris led the way with 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting including 3-of-5 from 3-point distance. He pulled down six rebounds and dished out four assists. Montrezl Harrell contributed 24 points off the bench to go with six rebounds. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tallied 17 points, five boards, four assists, two steals and two blocked shots. Avery Bradley had 16 points, six assists and three rebounds. Danilo Gallinari registered 16 points, four boards, three steals and two assists. Lou Williams added 10 points, two rebounds and two dimes as a reserve.
Mavs have three-game win streak snapped
Dallas was outscored 61-45 in the second half at the Lakers Friday night to fall by a count of 114-103. The Mavericks now sit at 10-10 on the season. Harrison Barnes paced the Mavs with 29 points on 9-of-17 shooting as he connected on 4-of-6 from 3-point range. Barnes also snared five rebounds to go with two assists and two steals. Dwight Powell recorded 17 points plus seven rebounds and two assists off the bench. Dennis Smith Jr. had 13 points, three rebounds and three assists. Wesley Matthews added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists.
NBA Betting Trends
The Clippers are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings. The over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Dallas.
The Mavericks are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games. Dallas is 14-2 ATS in its last 16 games following a straight up loss of 10 or more points.
Los Angeles is better than most people thought coming into this season, but it runs into a Mavs squad that is strong at home and will be focused after their struggles in the second half at the Lakers. I like taking the bucket with the home team as the Clippers are due for a loss.
