Los Angeles Lakers DFS Spin
LeBron James flirted with a triple-double in Sunday’s 108-94 win over Memphis, tallying 22 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists, three triples, one steal and two turnovers in 32 minutes. James has been on every injury report since the opener with the ankle issue, but you wouldn’t know it based on the way he’s been playing, and it’s become quite clear that Frank Vogel is incapable of distinguishing between probable and questionable. The Lakers have their second back-to-back of the season coming up next week with games on Thursday and Friday vs. the Spurs and Bulls, so it’ll be interesting to see if LBJ gets hit with a rest day, but it’s worth noting that he played in the previous back-to-back this year.
Memphis Grizzlies DFS Spin
Dillon Brooks was held to nine points on 3-of-15 shooting Sunday, to go with five rebounds, five assists, one 3-pointer, one block and two turnovers in 29 minutes. Brooks doesn’t get a lot of love in fantasy hoops because he’s a low-make chucker, and while he put that on display tonight, overall, he’s been quietly having a breakout season. He’s seeing some increased playmaking responsibilities with Ja Morant (ankle) on the sidelines, which has unfortunately also resulted in some increased turnovers, but he hasn’t been so one-dimensional this season and is actually flirting with top-50 value in 8-cat leagues. This was his first game without multiple steals, but he’s still averaging a career-high 2.2 swipes on the year.
Lakers vs. Grizzlies Betting Prediction
The under is a perfect 9-0 in the last nine meetings between these two teams and is 6-0 in the last six series meetings in Memphis. The under is also 5-0 in the Lakers’ last five games overall, is 6-0 in their last six road games and has cashed in seven straight when L.A. is playing on only one day of rest. On the other side, the under is 5-1 in the Grizzlies’ last six games as an underdog, is 13-3 in their last 16 games playing on one day of rest and is 5-0 in their last five games following a double-digit loss at home.
