Anthony Davis (left knee) is listed as probable for Thursday’s game against Philadelphia. We know the Lakers love this “probable” distinction, when they know full well that they intend for Davis to play. Frank Vogel said after Tuesday’s game that he wants to get Davis some more minutes as he gradually works himself back from his absence. He will have his hands full with Joel Embiid on Thursday, so he might get a few more minutes than he bargained for, in order to slow the big fella down.
Philadelphia 76ers DFS Spin
Joel Embiid hit 12-of-24 shots and 18-of-20 free throws for 42 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and four blocks in 33 minutes of Tuesday’s 117-107 win over the short-handed Pelicans. Embiid torched Willy Hernangomez for a monster line, while Willy repaid the favor with a career-best 29 points and 10 boards. But the Sixers got the win and Embiid kept it rolling. We were going to run through his recent run of big games but we’d basically be recapping his entire season. He’s gone 42, 38, 40 and 50 over his last four games and has scored at least 31 in 14 of his last 15 games. Beast.
