Julius Randle hit 11-of-16 shots, 2-of-5 3-pointers and 5-of-6 free throws for 29 points, five assists and 10 rebounds with three turnovers in a loss to the Nuggets. Randle became the second player to ever tally 200 points, 115 rebounds and 70 assists in the first 10 games of the season on Sunday. Only Oscar Robertson had done so before him. Randle’s having an excellent season, ranked No. 55 of all players in 9-cat leagues. Keep in mind he is playing the second-most minutes per game of all NBA players (five more than last season), and logged another 38 on Sunday. His endurance will be tested as the season continues.

LaMelo Ball became the youngest player in league history to post a triple-double, finishing Saturday’s win over the Hawks with 22 points (9-of-13 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 12 rebounds, 11 assists and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes. One night after he just missed out on a triple-double, Ball got the job done Saturday night. And in doing so he took care of the basketball, tallying just two turnovers. Ball continues to come off the bench, with Devonte’ Graham (9/5/7/2 with one 3-pointer in 32 minutes) remaining in the starting lineup, but at some point you have to wonder if James Borrego will make a change. Prior to Saturday’s game he was highly complimentary of the rookie point guard, saying that he was “as engaged as anyone” during pregame shoot around. “He gets it. More than anything, he gets it. …,” Borrego said. “So the mindset is there and that’s going to carry him throughout his entire career.”
