Kings vs. Knicks Prediction
Two teams that have been brutal since the All-Star break will square off at Madison Square Garden tonight when the Knicks host the Kings at 7:30PM ET.
After opening as a 1.5-point home favorite the Knicks are now a 2.5-point home underdog versus the Kings for tonight’s game. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under has also moved, going from 213.5 down to 211 points.
Bet Tonight’s Kings vs. Knicks Game
Sacramento is just 2-8 over its lat 10 games and is 3-6-1 against the spread during that span, while New York has dropped seven of 10 and went 5-5 at the betting window during that stretch. The Kings are also 16-17 against the spread on the road this season while the Knicks are 16-18 ATS at home in 2015-16.
Among the many problems that New York has is that the team isn’t scoring of late. They haven’t topped the 100-point mark since a 128-97 victory against the horrible Suns in Phoenix on March 9. The Knicks have scored 90, 85, and 89 points respectively in their last three games versus the Lakers, Warriors and Wizards.

The Kings, meanwhile, don’t play defense. They surrendered 115 points to the Pistons in their last game (a 115-108 loss) and 123 points to the Pelicans (123-108 defeat) in the game prior to their trip to Detroit. So while the Knicks have struggled to score, they should be fine tonight against a Sacramento squad that ranks tied for 24th in defensive efficiency.
The key trend is that the Knicks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus a team with a winning percentage below .400. They seemingly swell with confidence when playing a bad opponent, as was the case in the aforementioned victory against the Suns. (They also beat the Lakers 90-87 in L.A. on March 13.) Thus, after losing back-to-back games against the Warriors and Wizards, look for New York to pony up tonight.
