Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points on 11-of-19 shooting (7-of-12 3-pointers) and added five assists, two rebounds, one steal, and four turnovers as the Jazz beat the Mavericks 114-109 on Friday night. Mitchell missed the all-star game due to an upper respiratory injury, but he got back on the floor for the Jazz in this one. This is now his third-straight 3-point game, and he has made at least five triples in all three of them. The seven that he made on Friday were a season-high, and he made them at a 58.3% clip, which is awesome given the fact he can be streaky at times. Mike Conley scored 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting (3-of-7 3-pointers) to go with six rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two turnovers in 30 minutes.
Phoenix Suns DFS Notes
Deandre Ayton bounced back on Friday vs. the Pelicans with 20 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, three blocks and a triple in 32 minutes. He was coming off a six-point dud vs. OKC so it was nice to see Ayton be a lot more aggressive this evening. With Chris Paul out, Ayton won’t get as many easy looks, so he’ll have to make a concerted effort to get more involved offensively. Doing that against Rudy Gobert and the Jazz on Sunday won’t be easy, however.
Jazz vs. Suns NBA Betting Prediction
The Jazz are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games against the Suns, are 1-4-1 against the number in their last six road games and are just 3-12-1 at the window in their last 16 games when facing an opponent like Phoenix that owns a winning percentage above .600. On the other side, the Suns are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games following an ATS loss and have covered in four of their last five games coming off a double-digit loss at home.
