Utah Jazz DFS Spin
Jordan Clarkson went off in Friday’s win over the Bucks, notching a season-high 26 points (10-of-20 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs) with six rebounds, two assists, one block and five triples in 35 minutes. It’s early, but so far Clarkson is living up to his massive new contract. He had more usage tonight with Joe Ingles (Achilles soreness) out, though it’s expected to be a day-to-day issue. Either way, Clarkson is locked in as a must-start fantasy asset, as he’s on pace for top-70 9-cat numbers of 16.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.6 triples on 49% shooting. If the bubble was any indication, these numbers are sustainable.
Detroit Pistons DFS Spin
Blake Griffin grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds on Friday, adding 16 points with five assists, one 3-pointer and one steal in 40 minutes. Detroit snapped their three-game losing streak with a surprise win in OT vs. the visiting Suns. Blake certainly did his part tonight, making 5-of-13 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs, and he ably guided the offense out of the post. He looks borderline-immobile on some defensive possessions, but he was better tonight and there haven’t been any lower-body injuries reported (he missed time with a concussion). He’s still an injury-prone veteran on a bad team, though, so fantasy GMs should always be vigilant for opportunities to flip him.
Jazz vs. Pistons Betting Prediction
The Jazz have covered in 12 of their last 15 road games versus the Pistons and in six of the last eight games in this series. They’re also 11-3-1 against the spread in their last 15 games versus an opponent with a winning percentage below .400 and 6-1 against the number in their last seven games versus a team with a losing record. On the other side, the Pistons are just 10-23-1 against the spread in their last 34 games versus a team with a winning record.
