Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Rudy Gobert got whatever he wanted in an overtime win over the Rockets on Wednesday, scoring a season-high 27 points on 12-of-14 FGs (3-of-4 FTs) to go with 17 rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks and two turnovers in 38 minutes. Utah was looking for him early and found him running the floor for a few easy buckets, and sometimes that’s all it takes to give someone the confidence to do what Gobert did to the Rockets. Houston gives up the most fantasy points in the league to opposing centers, and Gobert made it so it’ll stay that way at least for a while longer. He’s now double-doubled in three straight games and has recorded eight total swats in those, and he’s officially back to his monstrous self after missing some time with a calf issue. He’s picking it up at the perfect time for fantasy managers and has a decent matchup with the Pelicans on Friday as he looks to build upon this eruption.
New Orleans Pelicans DFS Notes
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Zion Williamson is showing improved bone healing in his right foot and will gradually progress to full weight-bearing exercise and basketball activity. To be clear, Zion still remains out indefinitely and the chances of him playing at all this season seem just about as close to zero as you can get. The progress is encouraging, but this is not all too informative of an update and he isn’t worth stashing at this point in the season. Jaxson Hayes should continue to have a solid role and is worth rostering for the remainder of the season.
Jazz vs. Pelicans NBA Betting Prediction
The Jazz are 12-4-1 against the spread in their last 17 games in New Orleans and have covered in five of their last seven games against the Pelicans overall. They’re also 4-1 at the window in their last five games when playing on only one day of rest and are 6-2-1 against the number in their last nine games following a win. On the other side, the Pelicans are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games as a home dog and are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games when facing an opponent with a winning percentage above .600.
