Charlotte Hornets DFS Notes
LaMelo Ball got his second triple-double of the season on Saturday, recording 19 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds in an overtime loss vs. Houston. Defense was optional and the Hornets declined, allowing the lowly Rockets to pile up 146 points on 53.7% shooting (46.9% from deep). Ball missed a potential game-winner at the end of regulation and although he’s a much-improved shooter (38.0% from deep, 89.5% from the line), most opposing teams will live with him launching 3-pointers with the game on the line. Beyond poor FG% and high turnovers, LaMelo is a stat-producing machine with November averages of 19.8 points, 8.6 boards, 8.6 dimes, 2.6 threes and 2.1 steals.
Chicago Bulls DFS Notes
Lonzo Ball scored 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting (3-of-11 3-pointers) but grabbed 11 rebounds with six dimes, one steal, and four turnovers as the Bulls lost 107-104 to Miami on Saturday. Ball did not have his best shooting night on Saturday, and his four assists and six turnovers were also uncharacteristic for the young point guard. But the Heat have a tendency to force teams to have some off night’s so this isn’t too alarming. Chicago shot just 28.2% from the three-point line and they turned the ball over 23 times, and has just 22 assists as a team. You aren’t going to win very many games like that.
