The Heat are small favorites on Thursday night in Houston where they’ll take on the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. ET. Miami has been a terrible bet of late (3-7 ATS L10), but will the Heat cover tonight for bettors?

Miami Heat DFS Spin
Jimmy Butler finished Tuesday’s win over the Knicks one rebound shy of a triple-double, tallying 26 points (6-of-15 FGs, 13-of-15 FTs), nine rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes. Butler shot just 40% from the field Tuesday night, but that isn’t a major concern given his overall stat line. The win gave the Heat their first three-game win streak of the season, so things may be turning around after the team’s slow start. When available Butler has been one of the best forwards in fantasy basketball, providing 2nd-round value in 9-cat formats and 3rd-round value in 8-cat. Availability is the only concern that fantasy managers should have when it comes to Jimmy Buckets.
Houston Rockets DFS Spin
John Wall (left ankle sprain) is probable for Thursday vs. Miami. The Rockets have a 4-game week without any back-to-backs, so hopefully the ankle doesn’t rob him of playing all four. Whenever Wall sits with an injury or for rest, Jae’Sean Tate becomes an obvious streamer in standard leagues.
Heat vs. Rockets Betting Prediction
The Heat are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight meetings with the Rockets, but are just 2-7 against the number in their last nine games overall. They’re also 2-8-1 against the spread in their last 11 games as a favorite, are 3-11-1 against the number in their last 15 games playing on one day of rest and are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games coming off a win. The Rockets, meanwhile, are at least 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as an underdog.
