Heat vs. Knicks Pick
Can the host New York Knicks turn away the Miami Heat tonight when they meet at 7:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Heat are a 2-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 203 points.
Miami enters with a 10-10 record and 7-11-2 ATS after a 108-97 loss at the Cavaliers. New York is 10-10 overall and 12-8 ATS following a 103-91 home loss to the Trail Blazers, its third consecutive defeat. The Knicks went 2-1 straight up and 2-1 ATS in three meetings last season. The under went 2-1.
The Heat were paced by Dion Waiters with 21 points and seven assists in the loss at Cleveland. Bam Adebayo contributed 19 points and six rebounds off the bench. Josh Richardson added 15 points and two assists. Miami trailed by a count of 75-49 at halftime.
In the loss to Portland, Kristaps Porzingis led the way with 22 points and seven rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. had 16 points and four boards. Courtney Lee added 14 points and two assists. New York trailed 90-64 through three quarters.
Miami is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings in New York. The under is 21-8-1 in the last 30 meetings.
New York should get Enes Kanter (back spasms) back in the lineup tonight, which should make a world of difference in helping add another scoring option and a good rebounder. Kanter sometimes gets flak for not being very good defensively and occasionally saying or doing something controversial, but the fact of the matter is the Knicks are much better when he is healthy. Look for him to provide the needed boost to get a win tonight over the Heat.
