Warriors vs. Trail Blazers Prediction
The Warriors are only laying 4.5 points tonight to the Trail Blazers in Portland but will play the second game of a back-to-back. Will Golden State cover the spread or is the home dog the better bet in this matchup?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Warriors are 4.5-point favorites to beat the Trail Blazers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 233.5 points and as of this writing, 71% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Warriors to cover the point spread.
Golden State Warriors Fantasy Spin
Stephen Curry overcame a slow start and hit 8-of-19 shots and 5-of-14 3-pointers for 24 points, five rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks in 36 minutes of Tuesday’s 115-108 comeback win over the Jazz. He hit a couple crucial threes to give the Warriors the late lead and they’re now 5-0 in February after coming from behind to beat the Heat and the Jazz in their last two games. The Dubs are now 41-15, easily topping the 38-18 Nuggets in the West, and are just percentage points behind the 42-14 Bucks for the best record in the league. They’ve won 16 of their last 17 games to nearly rise up to the top of the standings, and will have their sights set on the Bucks when they take on the Blazers Wednesday night before the start of the All-Star break.
Portland Trail Blazers Fantasy Spin
Damian Lillard has now scored 30 points or more in three of his last five games, as he tallied 31 (9-of-22 FGs, 10-of-11 FTs) with seven rebounds, six assists, two steals, one blocked shot and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes Monday vs. Oklahoma City. Lillard has scored 30 or more in back-to-back games on five separate occasions this season, but interestingly enough in those 10 games Portland is just 3-7. One issue for the Blazers on Monday was C.J. McCollum’s off night, as he shot 5-of-20 from the field and finished with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal. Over his last five, Lillard is averaging 26.8 points, 8.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five games when playing the second game of a back-to-back.
Portland
The Trail Blazers are 37-16 against the number in their last 53 home games and have covered in eight straight when playing on only one day of rest.
Prediction
Assuming the Warriors don’t choose to rest starters like Klay Thompson (finger), then this is a cheap number to lay with the defending champs. They have struggled to cover recently (1-5 against the spread in their last six games) but have been better on the road (5-2 ATS over their last seven) of late and have scored at least 100 points in 27 straight games. The Warriors are also 2-1 against the Trail Blazers this season and have won 18 of the past 24 meetings between the two teams. I’m going to lay the short number on the defending champs before they head into the All-Star Break.
Wednesday NBA Prediction: Golden State Warriors -4.5
