Warriors bounce back
After an embarrassing loss in Game 2, where the Warriors blew a 31-point lead, Golden State bounced back in Game 3 on the road by picking up a 132-105 win. Golden State is now 59-26 on the season, 28-14 on the road, 37-47-1 against the spread and 45-40 with the under.
The Warriors shot very well in Game 3, going 51 of 93 from the field and 15 of 35 from the arc. Kevin Durant was on a mission, as he took over the game early and finished with 38 points on 14 of 23 shooting. He also had seven assists and four rebounds. Stephen Curry added 21 points with five rebounds while Andre Iguodala scored 15 points off the bench.
Clippers return to form
Los Angeles fell behind 2-1 in the series on Thursday following the 27-point loss. The Clippers are just 1-6 against the spread over their last seven games. The Clippers are now 49-36 on the season, 26-16 at home, 46-38-1 against the spread and 47-37-1 with the over.
Los Angeles couldn’t compete with Golden State offensively in Game 3. The Clippers shot just 35 of 94 from the field and 7 of 32 from the arc. Ivica Zubac led Los Angeles in the loss with 18 points and 15 rebounds while Lou Williams had 16 points with six assists and Montrezl Harrell and JaMychal Green each scored 15 points.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 6-0 against the spread in their last six on two days of rest and 28-10 ATS in their last 38 conference quarterfinal games.
Los Angeles
The Clippers are 4-10 against the spread in their last 14 conference quarterfinal games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven against a winning team.
Prediction:
Blowing a 31-point lead could end up being the best thing to happen for the Warriors. If Game 3 was any indication, Golden State wasn’t about to let anyone embarrass them against anytime soon. Kevin Durant played like an MVP and made a statement with his play. I would expect more of the same today. Even if Durant isn’t great, the Warriors still have Curry and Klay Thompson to shoot their way past Los Angeles. When on their game, Los Angeles can’t even sniff the Warriors. I think we will continue to see Golden State at its best today.
NBA Prediction: Golden State Warriors -8.5
