Nuggets looking for big upset
Denver is coming off a 106-100 win at home over Utah last night for a third win in four games. However, they have lost two of their last three on the road. The Nuggets are 33-15 on the season, 14-9 on the road, 21-23-4 against the spread and 28-20 with the under.
The Nuggets are giving up just 105.9 points per game this season while holding opponents to 33.9 percent shooting from the arc. Offensively, Denver is putting up 109.1 points per game while shooting 45.9 percent from the field. The Nuggets are without Jamal Murray and Paul Millsap tonight due to injury, while Gary Harris is questionable. Nikola Jokic is leading the team with 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game. Will Barton is adding 14.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest.
Bucks not slowing down
Milwaukee is coming off a 151-131 win at home over Washington on Tuesday for a ninth consecutive victory. The Bucks are 5-4 against the spread during this win streak. Milwaukee is 41-6 on the season, 22-2 at home, 26-21 against the spread and 23-23-1 with the over/under total.
The Bucks have the league’s top offense, averaging 120 points per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field. Defensively, Milwaukee is giving up 107.2 points per game while opponents are held to just 41 percent shooting. Milwaukee has George Hill out with a hamstring injury, while Giannis Antetokounmpo is questionable with a shoulder injury. He is averaging 30 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. Khris Middleton is adding 20.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Denver
The Nuggets are 1-5 against the spread in their last six Friday games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games on no rest.
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 12-5-2 against the spread in their last 19 games playing on two days of rest and 20-7 ATS in their last 27 Friday games.
Prediction:
This is the first meeting between these two. The Bucks obviously could be without their star, so it’s important to keep an eye on the injury news leading up to the tip. Assuming Giannis can go, I think the Bucks should roll tonight. The Nuggets are playing back-to-back and their third game in four days. They have had to travel for all three games as well, going from Memphis to Denver to Milwaukee. The Bucks have won their last four by at least 13 and I think their ability to score in bunches will be too much for a Denver team that has to win with defense.
NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -11.5
