Nuggets staying strong
Denver has won four of its last five games coming into tonight’s game following a 107-100 win at Minnesota on Monday night. The Nuggets are 30-13 on the season, 13-7 at home, 18-21-4 against the spread and 24-19 with the under.
The Nuggets are one of the better defensive teams in the league, allowing just 105.6 points per game while holding opponents to just 33.1 percent shooting from the arc. Offensively, Denver is putting up 109.3 points per game while shooting 46.3 percent from the field. The Nuggets are without some pieces tonight as Mason Plumlee, Paul Millsap and Jamal Murray are all listed as out with injuries while Gary Harris is doubtful. All four play consistent minutes for the team. Murray averages 17.6 points and 4.6 assists per game. Nikola Jokic is leading the squad with 19.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists per contest.
Rockets continue slide
Houston has lost four straight coming into tonight’s game following a 112-107 loss at home to the Thunder. The Rockets have dropped three straight at home and they are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games. Houston is now 26-16 on the season, 14-7 at home, 19-23 against the spread and 24-18 with the under.

NBA Betting Trends
Denver
The Nuggets are 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five games as an underdog and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a win.
Houston
The Rockets are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a failed cover, but 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning percentage over .600.
Prediction:
This is an interesting matchup as the Rockets have struggled shooting from the arc lately and Denver is one of the top defenses from 3-point land. Denver is without some key pieces, which is concerning, but Houston is just not on the same page right now. They have really been outclassed lately and have struggled with good defenses and good offenses. Denver may be short-handed, but the Nuggets have some bench pieces that seem capable of stepping up. I think Houston is giving up too many points given their struggles.
NBA Prediction: Denver Nuggets +8.5
