Ivica Zubac went 3-of-4 from the floor and 2-of-5 at the line for eight points, three rebounds, one assist and three turnovers across 26 minutes in Thursday’s loss to Dallas. Zubac only attempted one shot (which he missed) through 14 scoreless minutes as a starter without any defensive his last time out, and while he was a bit better tonight on offense, he again failed to record any defensive statistics. Isaiah Hartenstein wasn’t any better off the bench, logging just six minutes on his way to two points, four rebounds, one assist and nothing else in the loss. The Mavs deployed a lot of small-ball units tonight, which is not ideal for Zubac nor Hartenstein, so they could again have a tough time contributing to the box score in Saturday’s rematch.
Dallas Mavericks DFS Notes
Luka Doncic erupted for 51 points on 17-of-26 shooting (10-of-14 FT) in Thursday’s win over the Clippers, adding nine rebounds, six assists, seven triples, one steal, one block and seven turnovers over 40 minutes. Doncic was unconscious from the jump today, dropping in 28 points and seven triples on 13 shots through the first quarter of play, and he fell just one point shy of breaking Dirk Nowitzki’s franchise record for the most points through a single quarter of play. He got whatever he wanted against the Clippers all night long, and helped extend the Mavs win streak to four, which has them just 1.5 games away from moving past Utah for the No. 4 spot out West.
