The Celtics are laying 5.5 points to the visiting Clippers at 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday night. Is Boston the safest bet on the board or is there a better play when it comes to this non-conference matchup?

Marcus Morris returned from a lengthy absence after being in health and safety protocols and hit 6-of-13 shots and four 3-pointers for 24 points, five rebounds and six assists in Monday’s 124-108 loss to the Nets. He hadn’t appeared in a game since Dec. 15 and was on a minutes watch tonight, but looked fantastic. With Paul George out indefinitely Morris could be ready to go on a tear. Think about picking him up if he was dropped in your league.

Celtics guard Dennis Schroder has cleared health and safety protocols. He’s not on the official injury report and beat writer Chris Forsberg also reports that he’s out of protocols, along with Josh Richardson and Justin Jackson. He was first announced in protocols on Dec. 25 but it’s possible he was out earlier than that, which could explain his expedited availability. Either way, unless this is a clerical error it looks like he’s ready to go for Wednesday’s game vs. the Clippers. That’s bad news for Payton Pritchard and Romeo Langford.

On the other side, the Celtics are 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 games coming off a loss and are 7-3 ATS in their last 109 games following an ATS loss.
