Cavs add Drew to staff
CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – The Cleveland Cavaliers continue their overhaul of the team this offseason by adding Larry Drew to the coaching staff.
The team announced on Tuesday that they hired the former coach of the Milwaukee Bucks to the staff of David Blatt. This is a key addition as Blatt is making his first step into head coaching in the NBA and Drew can provide some experience.
Drew only coached one season in the NBA, going 15-67 with the Bucks. He was expected to get a second season, but was fired to make room for Jason Kidd.
Drew is another new addition to the Cavs, joining Blatt as the Cavaliers welcome back LeBron James and attempt to make a run at the NBA title with Kevin Love also joining the roster.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored to win the NBA Finals in 2015. Cleveland has 5/2 odds currently while the San Antonio Spurs have 4/1 odds and the Chicago Bulls have 11/2 odds.
