Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Kings are 6.5-point favorites to beat the Bulls. The total, meanwhile, sits at 231.5 points and as of this writing, 76% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the X to cover the point spread.
Chicago Bulls Fantasy Spin
Otto Porter (left knee contusion) made 6-of-11 shots for 15 points with two rebounds and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Clippers on Friday. Porter was listed on the injury report with a minor knee contusion, but his status was never in doubt. He practiced in full on Thursday and saw right around his average in minutes in Friday’s loss. Porter’s averaging 17.8 points, 6.0 boards, 2.8 dimes, 1.0 steals and 2.6 triples on 47.8% shooting over his last five games, which puts him in the top-30 in 9-category leagues in that time. He’s returned to his must-start ways.
Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
Harry Giles was a productive in limited minutes against the 76ers on Friday, scoring 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting with four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 18 minutes. Giles battled with Joel Embiid and Boban Marjanovic, but more than held his own and posted a +/- of +12, which was the second-highest on the team. His minutes have stayed the same even with Marvin Bagley healthy, which is a good sign. The Kings are fading, so Giles could get more looks down the stretch. He’s worth a flier in super-deep leagues, especially with the Kings 4-4-4 schedule over the next three weeks.
NBA Betting Trends
Chicago
The Bulls are 0-5 against the spread in their last five games when playing on only one day of rest.
Sacramento
The Kings are 11-2 against the number in their last 13 games when facing an opponent with a winning percentage that is below .400.
Prediction
The Bulls have dropped seven of their last 10 games overall but did cover as a 9-point underdog at the Clippers in their last game. Chicago offers bettors more value when it comes to the total, as the over is 6-1-1 in the Bulls’ last eight road games and is 12-5-1 in their last 18 games overall. Chicago allowed 128 points to the Clippers, 123 to the Lakers and 131 to the Pistons over its last three games. While the Kings have been a better under team of late, Sacramento should light up this Chicago defense tonight.
