Boston Celtics DFS Notes
Jayson Tatum had a rough shooting night vs. Orlando on Wednesday, hitting 4-of-16 shots and 5-of-8 free throws for six rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and one triple in 34 minutes. Tatum certainly hasn’t been shy this season and is on pace to shatter his career-high for field goal attempts per game with 24.5, but his shot has let him down so far — he was hitting 39% from the field, 27% from deep and 77% from the line coming into Wednesday. Eventually he’ll get it going again as he has career shooting splits of 45/39/83, but he’s been a disappointment so far.
Miami Heat DFS Notes
Shooting 15-of-17 from the foul line, Jimmy Butler accounted for 23 points (4-of-11 FGs), six rebounds, six assists, three steals and one blocked shot in 33 minutes in Tuesday’s 125-110 win over the Mavericks. While some stars have struggled to get to the foul line thus far, that has not been the case for Butler, especially in the last two games. He’s made 25-of-28 in wins over the Grizzlies and Mavericks, and has attempted 11 or more free throws in three of the Heat’s seven games. Given the lack of production from three (Butler’s 3-of-9), the charity stripe is an area where he can make up for that. A top-5 player in 9-cat formats last season, it would not come as a surprise of Butler duplicated that feat.
