Celtics favored at home vs. Heat
BOSTON, MA (TheSpread) – The Boston Celtics hope to start the day off well for Boston sports fans when they host the Miami Heat at 1PM ET.
Miami is 20-26 on the season, 12-11 on the road and 20-24-2 against the spread. Boston is 16-29 overall, 9-14 at home and 24-21 against the spread. The home team has won three straight in this series, including a 100-84 win for Miami on Dec. 21. The Celtics are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven meetings with the Heat and the two have hit the over in seven of their last nine encounters.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Celtics are the slight favorite in this game, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Heat. The over/under total for the game has been set at 186 points.
Miami has lost its last two coming into this game and the Heat are just 1-3 against the spread in their last four. However, Miami is 5-0-1 against the spread in its last six road games while hitting the under in nine of its last 10. Boston has lost its last two games as well, but the Celtics are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven. Like Miami, Boston is hitting the under as of late, doing so in five of its last seven.
