Giannis probable for NBA Cup
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right patella tendinopathy) and Khris Middleton (illness) are probable for Tuesday’s NBA Cup final against Oklahoma City. Antetokounmpo has consistently shown up as probable on pregame injury reports for this very injury, only to take on his usual workload. Fantasy managers should expect more of the same on Tuesday in Las Vegas. As for Middleton, his probable tag suggests he’ll also be cleared. Look for him to come off the bench as the Bucks manage his minutes.
SGA scores 32 points in win over Houston
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shot 8-of-21 from the field and 14-of-15 from the foul line in Saturday’s 111-96 win over Houston, scoring 32 points with eight rebounds, six assists, five steals, one block, and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes.
SGA and the Thunder are headed to Tuesday’s NBA Cup championship game, as they pulled away in a rugged semifinal battle. Gilgeous-Alexander wasn’t as efficient shooting the basketball as usual, but the overall stat line was excellent. Despite being harrassed by multiple Rockets defenders, the early MVP candidate recorded a complete stat line and only committed one turnover. Gilgeous-Alexander will look to do more of the same against Milwaukee on Tuesday, the first of three Week 8 games for Oklahoma City.
Bucks vs. Thunder NBA Prediction:
Take Oklahoma City. The Thunder have covered in five straight games and in seven out of their last 10 games ATS. Gilgeous-Alexander is an early MVP candidate and, at times, has been unstoppable. As previously noted, he doesn’t turn the ball over. While it’s temping to take the points with the Bucks, the Thunder as the better team and they’re not laying much in this title game.
Bucks vs. Thunder Betting Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder -4.5
