Giannis Antetokounmpo (right quad contusion) is probable for Friday’s game against the Rockets. Antetokounmpo had a rough night Wednesday, shooting 4-of-13 from the floor in a loss to the Heat. Previously dealing with a calf injury, the reigning Finals MVP is now on the injury report due to a quad contusion. The good news is that Antetokounmpo is listed as probable, so he should be on the court Friday night. If things take a turn for the worse, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday would be asked to do even more offensively.

Usman Garuba (right thigh contusion) is still not close to being able to participate in full basketball activities. Garuba has been sidelined for nearly two weeks, and he is not particularly close to a return to game action. The rookie has begun to do some individual finishing drills and spot shooting, so a small amount of progress has been made. Garuba is still without a timeline for return, and his absence has resulted in players such as Garrison Mathews and KJ Martin getting more minutes. Mathews, a top-100 player in 9-cat, is a must-roster player for the red-hot Rockets.
