Griffin has fracture in his back
LOS ANGELES, CA (TheSpread) – Blake Griffin will sit out international competition this summer due to a fracture in his back.
ESPN is reporting that Griffin withdrew from Team USA last week after doctors advised him to rest up in the offseason to help heal a small fracture in his back prior to the start of next season.
Griffin had one of his best season’s yet for the Clippers in 2013-14, averaging 24.1 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He also had 3.9 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 52.8 percent from the field.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Clippers have 12/1 odds to win the NBA Title next season. Cleveland is favored to win the championship, as it has 3/1 odds, while the Oklahoma City Thunder have 13/2 odds.
