Joel Embiid had a monster stat line in Wednesday’s win over the Wizards, tallying 38 points, eight rebounds, three 3-pointers, five assists, three steals, three blocks and five turnovers across 37 minutes. Embiid was coming off a season-low 14-point performance, but he got things back on track tonight, and become the first 76ers since Julius Erving to record a 35/5/5/3/3 line. He’s currently ranked in the top-5 on the year with averages of 25.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 triples (career-high), 1.3 steals (career-high), 1.9 swats and 2.9 turnovers (career-low) per game on 52.8% shooting from the field (career-high) and 83.6% from the stripe (career-high), and as long as he can stay healthy, he shouldn’t have any trouble continuing to flirt with these sorts of numbers.

Kyrie Irving scored 18 first-quarter points in Tuesday’s win over the Jazz, finishing the game with 29 (12-of-19 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, three steals and five 3-pointers in 30 minutes. With Steve Nash making three changes to the starting lineup, Irving was expected to shoulder much of the load offensively. He came out firing from the start, making his first seven shots in a game that the Nets never trailed. With Kevin Durant (health and safety protocols) expected to miss at least seven days, Irving will be even more aggressive when it comes to hunting his shots. And that’s good news for fantasy managers who have him on their roster.
