2016 NBA Rookie of the Year Odds

Which player will take home the 2016 Rookie of the Year award in the NBA this season? There are two players that oddsmakers favor heading into the regular season.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Emmanuel Mudiay of the Denver Nuggets and Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers are currently favored to take home Rookie of the Year honors at 4/1 odds, respectively. No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, meanwhile, has odds of 6/1.

Mudiay was the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft from the Guangdong Southern Tigers in China. He committed to play for the SMU Mustangs men’s basketball team in 2013 but made the decision later to forgo college and join the Tigers.  

Towns isn’t the only rookie to have 6/1 odds to win the award, as No. 2 overall pick D’Angelo Russell of the Los Angeles Lakers also has those odds. Stanley Johnson of the Detroit Pistons and Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers are both 10/1, respectively.
