NBA Finals Game 3 Prop Odds
(TheSpread) β The 2012 NBA Finals begin on Tuesday night and have a number of intriguing storylines. Here is a look at the prop odds that are attached to this series opener.
Game 3 features the Miami Heat hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder at 8:05PM ET (View Matchup). The series is tied 1-1 heading back to Miami for 3 straight games. According to oddsmakers, the Heat are a 4.5-point favorite over the Thunder for Game 3. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 193.5 points.
Game 2 of the series saw the Heat pick up a 100-96 victory on the road. The Heat got a big contribution from forward Shane Battier, who had 17 points and 5 3-pointers in the game. For Game 3, Battier has been given over/under odds of 14.5 points+rebounds. Battier has put in 17 points alone in both games as he is 9 of 13 from 3-point land this series. The Thunder have made it a point to let Battier get open looks on the arc, and he has been hitting. He has scored in double figures his last three games, but hasn’t had more than four rebounds in his last eight contests. If the Thunder adjust their defense to Battier for Game 3, he may not have the same impact.
The Thunder got 27 points from Russell Westbrook in Game 2, but many felt he was partially to blame for the loss due to his 10-of-26 shooting. He did still add eight rebounds and seven assists for OKC. For Game 3, Westbrook has been given over/under odds of 23.5 points. Westbrook has had 27 points in both games of this series so far and has scored at least 23 points in his last four contests. He is averaging 22.3 points per game in the playoffs and had 28 points in the Thunder’s lone game at Miami this season.
