The Eastern Conference Finals features the second-seeded Miami Heat against the fourth-seeded Boston Celtics. According to oddsmakers, the Heat are the favorite to win this series, as they have a money line of -600 to prevail, while the Celtics have odds of +400.

The Celtics reached the conference finals by defeating the Atlanta Hawks in six games and then beating the Philadelphia 76ers in seven games. The Heat reached the conference finals by beating the Knicks in five games in the opening round and then beating the Pacers in six games in round two. The Heat lost forward Chris Bosh during the series with the Pacers due to an abdominal strain. It is unknown when or if Bosh will be available in this series.

When looking at this matchup, it is interesting to note that the Celtics won three of the four meetings during the regular season and covered the spread in all four contests. It is clear that the Celtics seem to be a tough matchup for the Heat, but as the playoffs go on, one has to question the conditioning of the elder Boston team.
