2011 NBA Western Conference Updated Odds To Win: Lakers Favored

(TheSpread) – The L.A. Lakers are looking to win a fourth-straight Western Conference title when the NBA Playoffs get started this weekend.

The Lakers are the favorites to win the West according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com as they have 5/6 odds to win. Other short odds to win are San Antonio (2/1), Dallas (15/2), and Oklahoma City (9/1).

Aside from winning the last three Western Conference titles, the Lakers have won 32 altogether. The Lakers are the No. 2 seed in the West with a 57-25 record. L.A. won the Pacific Division and they were 30-11 at home, 27-14 on the road, and 36-16 in conference games.

San Antonio has won four conference titles in franchise history, with the last coming in 2007. The Spurs are the top seed in the West as they won the Southwest Division with a 61-21 record. The Spurs were 36-5 at home, 25-16 on the road, and 38-14 in conference games.

Dallas has one conference title to its credit, which came in 2006. The Mavericks were 57-25 overall and finished behind the Spurs in the Southwest. They will be the No. 3 seed in the playoffs. Dallas was 29-12 at home, 28-13 on the road, and 35-17 against the West this season.

Oklahoma City has never won a conference title in its short history. The Thunder is the No. 4 seed in the playoffs as they won the Northwest Division with a 55-27 record. The Thunder were 30-11 at home, 25-16 on the road, and 33-19 in conference play.
