Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Mavericks 6.5-point favorites over the visiting Thunder for Game 5 tonight. The over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 198.5 points.
The Mavericks increased their series lead to three-games-to-one on Monday with an impressive 112-105 overtime victory in Oklahoma City. The Thunder choked away a 15-point lead in five minutes to shock their home crowd.
Like he’s done for much of the series, Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 40 points, five rebounds and three assists. Jason Terry chipped in 20 points while Jason Kidd contributed with 17 points and a team-high seven assists.
Once again, the Thunder wasted a good effort by Kevin Durant, who scored 29 points and grabbed a team-high 15 rebounds. Serge Ibaka finished with 18 points and 10 boards, while Russell Westbrook chipped in 19 points and a team-high eight assists.
NBA Free Pick: I think the line is sitting where it’s supposed to be for this one, making it hard to find value. That said, the Thunder have one more good effort in them, even though they may not walk away with a victory tonight. According to latest NBA trends, the Thunder are 7-1-1 against the spread in their last nine trips to Dallas and the road team is 20-7-2 against the number in the last 29 meetings between these two teams. The underdog is also 12-4-1 against the number in the last 17 games between these two squads and I think Durant will keep his team in this one until the potentially bitter end.
