Updated NBA Finals Odds
(TheSpread) – The 2011 NBA Playoffs are down to the final eight teams and the two-time defending champs are still the favorites to win it all.
The Los Angeles Lakers are the favorites according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com as they have 2/1 odds to win the NBA Finals. Other short odds to win are Miami (5/2), Chicago (7/2), and Oklahoma City (4/1).
The Lakers are the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference and they have home court advantage for the next two rounds. The Lakers disposed of New Orleans in the first round, winning 4-2. L.A. won four of the last five games to take the series and it will now face Dallas in the second round.
Miami defeated Philadelphia in 5 games to reach the second round. Miami is the No. 2 seed in the East and made quick work of the 76ers, as they took a 3-0 lead in the series before finishing up two games later. The Heat will now take on Boston in the second round.
Chicago is the top seed in the entire playoffs and the No. 1 seed in the East. The Bulls beat Indiana in the opening round in five games. The Bulls survived a few scares early, but took a 3-0 lead in the series and then won in five. Chicago will face Atlanta in the second round.
Oklahoma City is the No. 4 seed in the West. The Thunder defeated Denver in the first round in five games. The Thunder also jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the series. Oklahoma City will now take on upset-minded Memphis, who eliminated the No. 1 seed in the West, San Antonio.
