ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) – A former NASCAR driver who led police on a 150-mph chase through three states last year is out of chances to submit a plea deal by mail.
The Spectrum of St. George reports (http://bit.ly/1ygp7QY) that Judge Eric Ludlow issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for 35-year-old Timothy Tyler Andrew Walker after repeated delays in the case.
The judge did so after Walker’s lawyer, Trevor Terry, said his client had mailed the wrong plea agreement from California.
Expected plea deals in the case have been delayed at least a dozen times.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers arrested Walker in January 2013. He pleaded not guilty to DUI and drug charges.
NASCAR suspended Walker in 2007 for violating its drug policy.
