TORONTO (AP) The New York Yankees have placed infielder Dustin Ackley on the 15-day disabled list with a dislocated right shoulder and recalled infielder Rob Refsnyder from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre.
Ackley, who is batting .148 with no homers and four RBIs, dislocated his shoulder Sunday as he dove back into first base on a pickoff play.
Refnsyder has played in one game for the Yankees this season, hitting a two-run double in a 5-1 victory at Oakland on May 21. He hit .294 with two homers and 10 RBIs in 35 games at Triple-A.
Also Monday, the Yankees reinstated right-hander Luis Severino from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A. Out since May 13 with a strained right triceps, Severino is 0-6 with a 7.46 ERA in seven starts.
Alex Rodriguez is not in the lineup for Monday’s game at Toronto. Carlos Beltran is the DH.
