MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Tampa Bay first baseman Carlos Pena left Thursday night’s game at Minnesota with right hamstring tightness.
Pena, who appeared to slow as he reached first base while grounding out in the fourth inning, is listed as day-to-day. He entered the game hitting .185, but his six home runs were tied with Derrek Lee of the Cubs for the major league lead.
The Rays already have had 10 players spend time on the disabled list this season, most in the majors.
