CHICAGO (AP) -Jorge Posada was back behind the plate for the New York Yankees on Tuesday night against the Chicago White Sox, his first start at catcher since April 8.
Posada has been bothered by a sore right arm. He did not play at all Sunday after starting at first base Saturday in Baltimore.
“I’m happy they really took the time and made sure everything was fine and giving me all the time in the world to get back,” Posada said before the game. “You understand you want to be back, but I’m happy I’m back now.
Posada said he expected to have his arm tested.
“Am I going to throw anybody out? We’ll see. I have no idea,” he said. “I’m going to be able to throw and try to be as quick as I can.”
