CLEVELAND (AP) -Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Jon Lieber left his start against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday night in the sixth inning because of an apparent right leg injury.
Lieber limped to the dugout after yielding a two-run single to Casey Blake that put the Indians ahead, 5-4.
Television replays showed Lieber stumbling as he ran off the mound to back up home plate on the single to left. Manager Charlie Manuel and team trainers came out to look at Lieber, who was assisted to the dugout and replaced by left-hander Michael Sagurski.
