PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Nationals pitcher Jason Bergmann left his start against Philadelphia in the third inning with tightness in his left hamstring Tuesday night.
Bergmann, who entered 2-5 with a 4.46 ERA, walked Chase Utley with one out in the third. Then a trainer and pitching coach Randy St. Claire came out for a visit and soon signaled for lefty Billy Traber.
The Phillies led 2-0 when Bergmann was forced out of the game.
