MIAMI (AP) -Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez left the game Wednesday night against the Houston Astros because of a sore left shoulder.
Ramirez struck out in the fourth inning after hitting home runs in his first two at-bats. A team spokesman said Ramirez was being evaluated.
Before the start of the fifth inning, Alfredo Amezaga moved from center field to shortstop and Cameron Maybin replaced Amezaga in the outfield, making his debut with the Marlins.
Ramirez has 32 home runs for the Marlins this season and 33 stolen bases. Florida led Houston 6-2 when he left the game.
