MILWAUKEE (AP) -The Milwaukee Brewers recalled pitcher Zach Jackson from Triple-A Nashville on Friday and sent reliever Mitch Stetter to Nashville.
Jackson spent all of 2007 in Triple-A, but made seven starts and one relief appearance for the Brewers in 2006 while Ben Sheets and Tomo Ohka were on the disabled list and went 2-2 with a 5.40 ERA.
The lefty was acquired in December 2005 to complete the trade that sent Lyle Overbay to Toronto and also included Brewers starter Dave Bush.
Stetter, the second lefty out of the bullpen, had been 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA in 13 appearances. But he’s struggled with his command in his last two appearances on Monday and Thursday – walking seven in a total of one inning and allowing runs in each appearance.
