ATLANTA (AP) -Atlanta Braves infielder Omar Infante had a bone in his left hand broken Wednesday night when he was hit by a pitch from Manny Corpas of the Colorado Rockies.
Infante, who had two hits to raise his average to .349, was hit by the pitch in the sixth inning and left the game.
X-rays showed Infante fractured his fifth metacarpal – the bone extending from his little finger to his wrist.
The Braves said Infante would be evaluated Thursday.
